Base Access

Base Access

The Air Force Academy is currently open to visitors year round. Visitor hours for the Air Force Academy are from 8:00am – 6:00pm daily. All visitors must use the North Gate of the Air Force Academy to gain access to the base and Doolittle Hall if they are not affiliated with the military. Visitors will be required to show a driver’s license and allow the gate guards to check their vehicle before being permitted on base.

Should you choose to have an event at Doolittle Hall that takes place before or after visitor hours, an Entry Access List (EAL) will be required to be completed for your event. The booking client is responsible to obtain the necessary information and send the completed form in NO LATER THAN (5) business days before their event. The following information will be needed from all guests over the age of 18 that are not military or DOD ID card holders:

  • First and Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Driver’s License Number and State of Issue

Guests include event attendees, event staff, all vendors such as caterers, rental companies, etc. If any information requested is missing, they will be denied base access. Any military ID holder can ‘sponsor’ up to 10 individuals at any time, meaning they can grant base access without having to be vetted through the EAL process. Military ID card holders can also sponsor up to 2 vehicles arriving at the same time at the same gate, even though they will still need to provide a Driver’s License or other form of ID.

Any questions regarding base access can be directed to the Doolittle Hall Special Functions office.
